An Interview with 3 School Direct Trainee Teachers

Here at Three Rivers Teaching School Hub, our schools have welcomed back all our teachers as well as introduced some of our new trainees. To kick start our year of training off, we greeted our School Direct trainee teachers for their induction day...

We decided it would be great to get to know some of them, and get a real insight into how they are feeling about starting their career in teaching. Here is what they had to say...

What are you most excited about?

I am thrilled to be able to talk about my favourite subject all day, every day! I am also very excited to be called ‘Miss Masters’.

What are your goals for the future?

My goal is to become a teacher at a school for deaf children.

What inspired you to want to become a teacher?

My Mom inspires me. Also, my English & Film studies teacher inspires me a lot, and I still keep in touch with them via email.

What are you most excited about?

I am just excited to get started in teaching.

What are your goals for the future?

To be able to qualify as a teacher and maybe teach abroad. I am thinking about either teaching in New Zealand or the US.

What inspired you to want to become a teacher?

My family. My Dad is also a teacher, so he has inspired me to become one.

What are you most excited about?

Getting stuck in. I can’t wait to be able to plan my own lessons.

What are your goals for the future?

To qualify as a teacher and go down the route of teaching SEND children, as I used to be an LSA and loved it.

What inspired you to want to become a teacher?

My Mum is a teacher, so she really inspires me. Also, every History teacher I’ve had has inspired me.

The hub thoroughly enjoyed meeting our School Direct trainees. It was interesting to find out how they are feeling at a very daunting part of their career journey. We can’t wait to watch them develop through our professional development and training programmes.

There is still room to apply for our training. If you would like more information about our training programmes, please don’t hesitate to get in touch by emailing teachingschool.hub@the3rivers.net or follow our social media for further updates.
